Virtual Reality – Technology should simulate a real Kiss

Virtual Reality

First, researchers at Future Interfaces Group have created a VR headset that recreates the sensation of touch in and around a user's mouth! In other words, finally fulfilling the sole purpose of virtual reality.

VR headsets ignore senses like taste, smell, and touch, focusing solely on sights and sounds.

VR experiences much more immersive than they were decades ago, but not enough to trick your brain into thinking that what your eyes are seeing is a real experience.

Additionally, the researchers have enhanced what appears to be a headset with an array of ultrasonic transducers focused on the user's mouth! This means they work without the need for additional accessories or other hardware!

Meanwhile, researchers have created other VR that demonstrate how their mouth-based haptic hardware can add realism! These include a spooky forest walk where you can feel spider webs on your face, a run where you can feel the wind on your face, and even virtual eating experiences where food and drink can be felt inside your mouth.

Sword Art Online

Finally, it's worth mentioning that we most certainly learned about VR from SAO. In fact, the game debuted in 2012, meaning it will be 10 years since its release. As a result, VR became popular, and technology began to advance, and today we can play several games in this style, but nothing compares to SAO. So, are we getting closer to a game similar to SAO? Leave a comment!
