SEGA has released the first official trailer for Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2, a direct sequel to the game previously released for Nintendo 3DS. The new title promises to further expand the universe of the virtual diva, bringing not only Miku, but also her Vocaloid companions in adorable Nendoroid-style versions.

In the released video, you can see Miku performing the tracks "Koneko no Paya Paya" and "Yume-Yume". The gameplay has been improved, allowing players to choose between traditional buttons or the touchscreen to perform the songs with precision.

Visual Nendoroid and unreleased music

The Nendoroid aesthetic adds extra charm to the presentation, while fans can expect an updated song list. Confirmed songs include “Koneko no Payapaya”, “Do Re Mi Fa Rondo”, and “Yume-Yume”. In addition, various costumes will be available for character customization, including Sakura Miku, which is sure to please fans with a keen eye for detail.

Scheduled for release in the Japanese autumn, Project Mirai 2 aims to solidify Miku's presence on Nintendo's handheld console, taking advantage of the unique features of the 3DS's dual screens for a more interactive and musically immersive experience.
