During the halftime show of Super Bowl 2014, the highly anticipated first trailer for Transformers 4 – Age of Extinction was shown.
In the storyline, with humanity attempting to rebuild four years after the events of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have vanished from the face of the Earth. However, a powerful group of scientists and businessmen, seeking to learn from past Transformer invasions, end up pushing the boundaries of technology beyond their control. At the same time, a new Transformer threat sets its sights on Earth.
Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender) will play the teenage daughter of Mark Wahlberg's character, while Jack Reynor will play her boyfriend, a race car driver. Stanley Tucci plays a scientist; Kelsey Grammer plays the villain, Harold Attinger, an industrial spy, and Sophia Myles, from Underworld, also plays a scientist.
Transformers 4 is scheduled for release on June 27th in the US and July 18th in Brazil.
