In the film's story, Johnny Depp will play a scientist who, after surviving an attack, uploads his brain to a supercomputer, becoming the world's first machine to think for itself and have its own consciousness.
Things start to go wrong when this supercomputer with human consciousness begins to take control of everything on the planet.
The film was directed by Wally Pfister and produced by Christopher Nolan.
Transcendence premieres on April 14, 2014 in the United States.
