My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The second season of Yaiba: Samurai Legend ( Shin Samurai-den YAIBA ) received a new teaser visual during AnimeJapan 2026. The artwork was presented at the Sho-Pro booth, accompanied by a video with scenes from the first season of the anime.

The new season will adapt the "Kaguya Arc," introducing important characters to the plot. Ami Koshimizu will voice the character Kaguya, while Koki Uchiyama will play Tsukikage, expanding the series' already known cast.

Based on the manga by Gōshō Aoyama, the anime follows Yaiba Kurogane, a young man training to become a samurai. After returning to Japan, he becomes involved in battles against Takeshi Onimaru, awakening legendary swords with supernatural powers.

The work is an action manga created by Gōshō Aoyama, published in Weekly Shonen Sunday between 1988 and 1993. The current adaptation is directed by Takahiro Hasui at Wit Studio , known for its modern and dynamic productions.

The anime premiered in April on Japanese TV, occupying a special block alongside Detective Conan , forming the so-called "Gōshō Aoyama Hour". The series is also available for streaming on Netflix in several regions, including Latin America.
