The anime Yowa Yowa Sensei (Yowa Yowa Teacher) returned to the spotlight this week with the release of a new trailer and the confirmation of four new names in the voice cast. The premiere is still scheduled for April 2026, increasing fans' anticipation for this school romantic comedy.
In addition, the production announced Yurie Igoma as Mizuki Mukubayashi, Yu Sasahara as Yuki Yukishita, Yuko Natsuyoshi as Kaya Kuguri, and Mai Nakahara as Akemi Abikura. The main cast already included Marika Kono, who voices teacher Hiyori Hiwamura, and Kakeru Hatano as student Akihito Abikura.
Meanwhile, Brain's Base is leading the animation, with Hiroshi Ishiodori directing. Yoshifumi Fukushima is responsible for the scripts. Naoki Aisaka is in charge of character design, while Akifumi Tada and Rina Tayama are composing the soundtrack.
Based on the manga by Kamio Fukuchi, published since 2022 in Weekly Shonen Magazine, the anime follows Akihito, a high school student who discovers an unexpectedly sweet side to his feared teacher nicknamed "Scary Sensei." Thus, the series promises humor, romance, and situations that awaken the audience's protective instincts.
Ultimately, the show positions itself as one of the lightest and most charismatic offerings of the upcoming season.
