Brazilian Portuguese Zelda is now a reality in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, with menus and subtitles adapted to the national language. Now, for the first time, players can explore Hyrule with full understanding of the text and dialogue, significantly improving the experience.

In addition to the inclusion of the language, Nintendo took the opportunity to announce technical improvements that prepare the games for the Nintendo Switch 2. The strategy demonstrates the company's commitment to the Brazilian player base, while also introducing important new features for the new generation.

Zelda update includes Brazilian Portuguese subtitles

For the first time, two of Nintendo's most important titles now have official localizations in Portuguese. The decision was met with enthusiasm by the gaming community, which for a long time had to resort to alternative translations to understand the games' story.

Now, with the update available in the Nintendo Switch menu, players simply need to follow the manual update path to access the new subtitles. This feature makes the narrative more accessible and immersive, especially for new players coming to the franchise.

Visual improvements and Nintendo Switch 2 support arrive alongside the update

With the Nintendo Switch 2's launch approaching, Nintendo has also introduced technical updates to its games. Improvements include increased resolution, HDR support, and improved performance stability. These changes aim to prepare titles for the new hardware, providing a more fluid and detailed visual experience.

Additionally, Tears of the Kingdom now supports new amiibo, which unlock exclusive content related to in-game characters. This expands customization possibilities and reinforces the integration between software and accessories, a hallmark of Nintendo's platform.

Another highlight is the update to the official Nintendo Switch App, which has gained features specifically geared towards fans of the franchise. Among them, the Zelda Notes feature stands out for offering achievements, bonus content, and audio navigation, further enriching the journey through the kingdoms of Hyrule. Additionally, voice and video communication features have been added between players via the GameChat system, as well as automatic uploading of screenshots and videos.
