Il a été annoncé que Ghost in the Shell aura un nouveau manga , intitulé Ghost in the Shell : The Human Algorithm , écrit par Jun'ichi Fujisaku et illustré par Hiroki Yoshimoto .

De plus, le manga se concentrera sur la Section 9 après la disparition du Major. L'histoire suivra Togusa, Batou, Azuma, Ishikawa et un nouveau personnage nommé Tsunagi.
Enfin, Ghost in the Shell : The Human Algorithm sera publié par Young Magazine le 20 septembre.
