The new adaptation of Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) gained prominence at AnimeJapan 2026 by releasing its opening sequence. The video features the song "Hallelujah," performed by the band Alexandros, focusing on the protagonist Kenshiro.

Furthermore, the franchise confirmed a collaboration with the game Fatal Fury City of the Wolves. Kenshiro will be a playable character in Season Pass 2, scheduled for release in June, expanding the franchise's presence in other media.

The anime premieres on April 10th on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels, with global distribution via Amazon Prime Video. It is produced by TMS Entertainment, a studio known for classic series in the industry.

The film is directed by Hiroshi Maeda, with Kazuma Ogasawara as assistant director. The soundtrack is composed by Yuki Hayashi, known for his work on My Hero Academia. The team also includes experienced names in animation and design.

About Fist of the North Star

Created by Tetsuo Hara, the manga is an action work published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between 1983 and 1988. The plot follows Kenshiro, a master of a lethal martial art, in a world devastated by nuclear war.
