With the release of the new Naruto movie, titled The Last: Naruto, , more images have surfaced online due to an update on the official website . The most recent are headshots of Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, Kakashi, Sai, and Shikamaru. The images are similar to those released this week; below you can see the new poster, which shows each character in higher quality.
As announced earlier this week, fans of the series were surprised by the end of the Naruto manga series , which will run until November of this year, concluding with volume number 700.
The Last is being touted as the first step in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the series, known as the new Opening Era of Naruto. There will be other festivities, without prior notice, to celebrate the occasion, including an exhibition dedicated to the character. Serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999, the series has sold over 130 million volumes since then.
This new film will premiere in Japanese theaters on December 6, 2014, and will feature a Naruto who is a bit taller, has shorter hair, a more toned body, and a more mature look.
