Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus got a new trailer this Sunday (18), however the official website revealed its release date. The series adapts the university arc “Ao Buta” (LN Vol 13) about Mei and Sakuta at university.

Therefore, the release of Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus will take place on July 5, 2025, with animation by CloverWorks ( The Promised Neverland ).

Adolescence Syndrome — A mysterious phenomenon that, it is said, arises from an unstable emotional state. During high school, Sakuta Azusagawa met several girls who experienced different manifestations of this syndrome. Now, he's in college. Alongside his girlfriend, Mai Sakurajima — an extremely popular actress nationwide — Sakuta enrolls at a university located in Kanazawa Hakkei. It was there that he encountered something unexpected: a girl dressed as Mrs. Claus, in the middle of the holiday season. — Hey… Can you see me?
That phrase… he’d heard something similar before. The girl, who introduces herself as “Tōko Kirishima,” claims to be handing out Adolescence Syndrome as if it were a gift. With premonitory dreams that go viral on social media, a mysterious internet singer, poltergeists, and other inexplicable events, a new wave of encounters with emotionally conflicted girls is about to begin.

Thus, the franchise is based on the light novels written by Hajime Kamoshida and illustrated by Keiji Mizoguchi , published in Japan by Dengeki Bunko .
