The anime Rooster Fighter premiered globally in March 2026 and quickly garnered attention outside of Japan. The production team stated that the international reception exceeded expectations, with a strong impact particularly in Central and South American countries.

Based on the manga by Shu Sakuratani, the narrative functions as a direct parody of the shonen style, involving battles with exaggerated humor. The protagonist seeks revenge against the White Demon, responsible for his sister's death, while traversing chaotic, action-packed scenarios.

According to director Daisuke Suzuki and editor Moto Motomura , the impact was immediate. The anime reached the top of the rankings on Disney+ and gained prominence on social media soon after its premiere. Motomura commented that part of the popularity may stem from cultural factors. He cited the symbolic relationship of chickens in Christianity and also the familiarity of the animal in homes in various countries.

Finally, the anime Rooster Fighter premiered internationally before its Japanese debut in April. The series is available on platforms such as Disney+, Crunchyroll , Hulu, and Adult Swim.
