In addition to the already announced participation of ADN, a French animation and streaming company, the French studio Passion Paris has joined the project as a co-producer. This collaboration reinforces the international reach of the adaptation of the popular webtoon published by Naver Webtoon.
Synopsis
The plot of Hero Killer follows Lee Hwa, a young woman determined to avenge herself against so-called heroes after the murder of her sister by one of them. Mixing action and dark fantasy, the work has captivated readers around the world and has already surpassed 250 published chapters, with translations available in 10 languages.
David Pagaille, known for his work on Moonlit Bamboo Forest , will direct . To celebrate the announcement, the original creators Kkulbeol and Beolkkul released a new illustration, and the anime's official website and social media accounts were also launched. The project was finally announced in October 2025, following an agreement between Jaedam Media and ADN.
