The manga Summer Time Rendering , created by Yasuki Tanaka , will be adapted into a live-action film in 2027. The announcement was made on the same date the story begins, via the franchise's official account. Ken Ninomiya will direct.

The live-action adaptation was originally announced in 2021, alongside the confirmation of the anime. However, the project remained without updates until now. With the confirmation of the film, the work returns to the spotlight and expands its presence across different media.

History of Summer Time Rendering?

The story follows Shinpei, who returns to Hitogashima Island in Wakayama City after receiving news of the death of his childhood friend, Ushio. However, during the funeral, unusual events reveal that something is hidden on the island.

Origin of Summer Time Rendering

Yasuki Tanaka published Summer Time Rendering on the Shonen Jump+ platform between October 2017 and April 2021, totaling 13 volumes. However, the anime premiered in April 2022 with 25 episodes, produced by the OLM studio and directed by Ayumu Watanabe , adapting the entire original story.

Finally, the franchise also received a game for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, released in 2023.
