Hello! My name is Charlles and I'm passionate about Japanese culture, especially the world of anime. Here, I share trivia, news, and everything related to this world...

Recently, at the Tokyo Olympic Games, we had two tributes to One Piece! That's right folks, two athletes from different sports and nationalities paid a great tribute to the most successful anime and manga ! Now, without further ado, let's check out what they got up to:

Tribute to One Piece – Luffy

First, we had Miltos Tedoglou, a Greek long jump athlete. This past Monday, he paid homage to the future Pirate King, Luffy. Upon entering the competition, he simply crouched down and struck the same pose as the protagonist when activating Gear Second!

Moreover, it all paid off in the end, as our beloved Greek athlete managed to win the gold medal based on tie-breaking criteria! Moreover, to everyone's surprise, he managed to jump exactly 8.41 meters. Perhaps he really knows how to use Gear Second, doesn't he?!

Tribute to One Piece – Franky

The second tribute took place in the shot put event, performed by American Payton Otterdahl. There, he struck the classic SUUUUUPEEERR Franky pose! Furthermore, he not only perfectly imitated the choreography but also shouted SUUUUUPEEERR to make it even cooler.

Moreover, all this performance was enough to qualify him for the finals, with an incredible score of 20.90! Perhaps he is also a cyborg? In any case, we wish him good luck in the final and hope he wins a medal for his country.

So, folks, will we see more anime tributes at these Olympics? Plus, it would be really cool if a Brazilian did something like that. Anyway, keep following our blog for any news, and if you have any criticism or suggestions, leave them in the comments. Until next time!
