It was announced through the official website that the anime “ Akagami no Shirayuki-hime ” (Snow White with the Red Hair) will have a second season, arriving on TV in Japan in January 2016.
The team had already commented that the main idea was to divide the series into two seasons, with the first part premiering in July of this year. Masahiro Ando (Hanasaku Iroha) directed the series at animation studio BONES.
The “Snow White”-like story revolves around Shirayuki, a girl born with unique apple-red hair. She meets Prince Raji, who falls in love with her at first sight and orders her to become his lover. With nowhere else to go, Shirayuki cuts her hair and flees to a neighboring country. While crossing the forest, she meets Zen, a young man who helps her after she heals her wounds, only to be poisoned by an apple.
