NHK has released the first promotional video for the anime Ao no Orchestra ( The Blue Orchestra ), by Makoto Akui .

NHK also revealed new members of the technical staff. Seiji Kishi (Assassination Classroom, Persona 4 The Animation, Classroom of the Elite) is directing the anime at Nippon Animation . Yuuko Kakihara (Chihayafuru, Digimon Adventure tri., Persona 4 The Animation, 2022 Urusei Yatsura) is writing and supervising the series scripts, and Kazuaki Morita (Assassination Classroom, Classroom of the Elite, Persona 4 The Animation) is designing the characters. Ryota Higashi is the violinist for the character Hajime Aono .
The anime will premiere on NHK Educational in April 2023.
Jun Sakata (To Your Eternity) will be the anime's production supervisor and chief producer.
Synopsis
During his elementary school years, Hajime Aono was considered a violist prodigy; however, he suddenly grew tired of music and stopped playing for personal reasons. Before entering high school, he meets Ritsuko Akine, an energetic violist who tells him about a prestigious school orchestra.
Therefore, Akui launched the ongoing manga on Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in 2017.
