The official website for the anime of Yuugo Kobayashi 's Aoashi manga revealed that it will premiere on the NHK Educational on April 9, and will air on Saturdays at 6:25 pm. The website also revealed a new image and two more voice actors. Shunsuke Takeuchi will play Nagisa Akutsu and Yuichiro Umehara will play Haruhisa Kuribayashi.

Synopsis
Ashito Aoi, a third-year high school student from Ehime, meets Fukuda Tatsuya, a coach from the “J Youth League”. Even though he still has a strong personality, Ashito has incredible potential that made him invited by coach Fukuda to participate in his team's selection in Tokyo. The story of the boy who will revolutionize football in Japan will begin.
Aoashi's manga launched in Shogakukan 's Big Comic Spirits in January 2015. The publisher published its 23rd volume on February 26.
