The publisher Shufu to Seikatsu Sha announced that Marukawa manga Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land ( Ikyō no Tsumenuri Minarai ) will receive an anime . Those responsible for the adaptation have not yet revealed the format of the production.

The story blends shoujo fantasy and creativity, taking readers to a magical world where nail art is a source of power. The protagonist, Keiko Sahara , is an office worker passionate about creating decorated gel nails. Suddenly, she is transported to another world where magical abilities come precisely from nail art. There, an artist recognizes her talent and accepts her as an apprentice.
Publication and launch
Marukawa began the manga in 2022 in the magazine Comic PASH!, published by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha. Currently, the publisher has already released five volumes of the work and will release the sixth this Friday in Japan.
In the West, Tokyopop has licensed the title and will release the first volume in English on April 7, 2026 .
The team is expected to reveal more information soon regarding the production and the anticipated premiere date of the anime.
