Takeo Otsuka the Japanese voice actor for Aqua Hoshino in Oshi no Ko , gave an interview this week to the website Anime Trending , commenting on various aspects of the anime. He also revealed what the typical dubbing process for the anime is like for him and the other voice actors.

In his interview, Takeo Otsuka mentioned that he had been following the Oshi no Ko manga before voicing Aqua. He then based his interpretation of the character in the anime on what he had seen in the original story. He further stated that, like him, all the voice actors and the entire crew give their best during recordings because they are all fans of the series.
"Although the series features Aqua's revenge as one of its main pillars, it also has lighthearted banter and many fun and funny scenes. I think everyone had a lot of fun acting out those scenes, and in the end, this show has a lot of dialogue.".
And it's not just Aqua, but others, including Kana especially, have a lot of lines. Megumi Han-san was really worried about that. But, from my point of view, it's like, "Oh, it's simply amazing." Watching Han-san makes me feel like she's the only one who can pull off Kana Arima
Furthermore, he mentions that the manga creators, Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari , also appear during filming on occasion to oversee the production.
“And everyone, not just the cast, but the entire crew, really loves this title. So, I feel like everyone is looking in the same direction while working on this series. The authors of the original manga also show up when they can, so the recording sessions are very reassuring.”
Thus , Akasaka and Yokoyari began the manga in Shueisha 's Young Jump in 2020. Volume 12 of the manga was published on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
