The light novel Because I, the True Saint, was Banished, that Country is Done For! (Shin no Seijo de Aru Watashi wa Tsuihō Saremashita) has officially been adapted into an anime . The series will premiere in 2027 and has released its first teaser visual, as well as confirmation of the main cast and the production team.

Masumi Tazawa voices the protagonist Eliane, while Taku Yashiro will play Nigel. To celebrate the announcement, the original illustrator Pukyunosuke and Mokuba Matsu, responsible for the manga adaptation, released commemorative artwork from the work, originally published by Kodansha.

A banished saint changes the destiny of a kingdom

The story follows Eliane, recognized since childhood as the true saint of the Kingdom of Belkheim. After being deceived by a false saint, the prince breaks off their engagement and banishes her from the kingdom. Free for the first time, she sets off for a neighboring country in search of an ordinary life, but unexpected events completely transform her path.

Production reunites the team from I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince

Tsukasa Sakurai is directing the anime at Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab. Naoki Tozuka is writing the scripts, while Naru Nishikōri is responsible for character designs. Shikiso Utsuzawa's novel debuted in 2020 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website and received a print edition from Kodansha in 2021.

Finally, the manga adaptation, illustrated by Mokuba Matsu, debuted on the Palcy app in 2021.
