The Japanese light novel Blade & Bastard (Bureido & Basutādo), written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by so-bin, had its anime confirmed this Sunday (20).
Therefore, and by all indications, the anime's premiere should happen sometime in 2025.
Synopsis Blade & Bastard
Deep within a labyrinth where no one has ever trod, the body of an adventurer who shouldn't be there was found. Revived, but with no memory, the man named Iarmas spends his days entering the labyrinth alone to retrieve the bodies of fallen adventurers. Regardless of whether the resurrection is successful or the bodies turn to ashes, he continues his work in exchange for payment, despised but also respected by the other adventurers. However, his grim routine begins to change after meeting a young swordswoman, the sole survivor of a destroyed group, nicknamed "Trash".
Drecom has published four Blade & Bastard volumes since December 2022 under its DRE Novels imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Makoto Fugetsu has been serialized online through Drecom's DRE Comics website since June 2023.
