ByteDance the company that owns TikTok , has decided to take action against anime plagiarism in its new artificial intelligence. Recently, the Seedance 2.0 received a rigorous update to block the creation of famous characters.

Previously, users generated ultra-realistic videos that imitated productions from Disney and renowned Japanese studios. However, this practice generated immediate outrage in the Asian industry. The NAFCA (Japan Anime Film Culture Association) confronted the developers to demand respect for intellectual property. Therefore, commands that mention iconic heroes now result in copyright error messages.

The Seedance 2.0 filter continues to be adjusted

Despite being a direct competitor to the Sora model, Seedance 2.0 had to back down to avoid multi-billion dollar lawsuits. ByteDance Vice President Li Liang confirmed that the filters are constantly being adjusted. Therefore, the technology now focuses on detecting real faces and protected aesthetics. Although some users try to circumvent the system with creative descriptions, the net is closing in. Ultimately, this change marks an important victory for animators fighting for the survival of traditional art in the face of digital advancement.
