The work is by Shigemitsu Harada and Issei Hatsuyoshi and is a spinoff of the manga Hataraku Saibou / Cells at Work! by Akane Shimizu.

Cells at Work! Code Black (Hataraku Saibou Black) began publication on June 7th, and the first volume was released on July 9th, 2018. The series currently has 5 volumes, and you can see a promotional video for the manga above.

Ultimately, the manga's story takes place inside the body of someone who drinks excessively, smokes, and suffers from high stress and cholesterol, with cells struggling to fulfill their duties, and the possibility of cell death being a daily reality.
