Kadokawa announced that the second part of the anime Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle (Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka) will premiere in October 2026. The news came with a new promotional video, as well as confirmation of a special collaboration with Fukui Prefecture, which will take place between August 21st and November 8th.

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle premiered its first part on October 7th, but faced schedule adjustments due to production issues. The sixth episode was postponed to December, while the final chapters of the season were only shown in the Japanese spring of 2026. With that, the story now moves on to its next stage later this year.
Synopsis
The story follows Saku Chitose, a student at the prestigious Fujishi High School. Recognized for his excellent academic, athletic, and social performance, he inspires both admiration and criticism wherever he goes. During his second year of high school, Saku is tasked with helping an isolated classmate return to school, beginning a coming-of-age drama set in Fukui Prefecture.
Team and origin of the work
The anime is produced by studio feel., directed by Yūji Tokuno. Naruhisa Arakawa supervises the scripts alongside the original author Hiromu, while Sumie Kinoshita is responsible for character design. The soundtrack is composed by Yoshiaki Fujisawa. The light novel began publication in 2019 and received its 9.5th volume in October 2025.
