Classroom Of The Elite – New episode sparks outrage online! That's right! Episode 5 of Classroom Of The Elite aired last Monday and generated controversy after some phrases used by the protagonist Ayanakõji.

In the scene in question, our protagonist criticizes Horikita and calls her useless, in addition to questioning how useful she can still be to him. What seemed to be just a normal scene went viral on Twitter with numerous comments hating on the protagonist (as incredible as it may seem).

Check out some of the comments:

"Why do this to the girl? You."

"Some people idolize the protagonist for being cold and emotionless, but he's nothing more than a moron."

"Could we say that this episode was a bit sexist? Yes."

"It's incredible how the protagonist treats all the girls like crap and they're all drooling over him."

"This protagonist should get a beating, but the author doesn't have the courage to do it."

"How could this episode have the audacity to be so sexist?"

"Ayanakouji is a sexist, that's nothing new."

"How long will this verbal violence continue to happen to women in real life and within anime?"

"It's a shame that people defend the protagonist as if he were the greatest."

"What do Horikita and Karuizawa have to do with this? There's no need to do this to them."

"Okay, I won't be watching this anime anymore after these events. Good luck to everyone."

"Anyone who likes a protagonist like that needs a psychiatrist."

"The author of this anime should be arrested." (WTF? LOL)

Finally, the scene generated criticism on social media and a small debate among fans. What's your opinion on the matter? Are they right or is it just more whining from the cancel culture crowd? Leave your comment!

Synopsis:

From the outside, Koudo Ikusei High School seems like a utopia. Students enjoy great freedom and are among the best schools in Japan. However, the reality is far from that. There are four classes, from A to D in order of merit, and only the best receive benefits. Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a student in Class D, where the school sends its worst students. There he meets the unsociable Suzune Horikita, who is certain she was assigned there by mistake and wants to climb the ranks to reach Class A. He also meets the beautiful Kikyou Kushida, whose goal is to make as many friends as possible. Although staying at the school is permanent, attending classes is not, and students can use any method they deem convenient to improve their status…
