Mengo Yokoyari , the illustrator of Oshi no Ko no manga, commented that her series is not recommended for children or minors. She is grateful for the success of her manga, but does not recommend it for minors without parental supervision.

On Twitter, Mengo Yokoyari says she's aware of Oshi no Ko's success among children and teenagers who follow manga. However, she also says its content is more geared towards an adult audience, who follow Young Jump . Therefore, the manga artist advises that minors be supervised by adults when reading something like Oshi no Ko.
"I'm very, very, very grateful that the children unexpectedly enjoyed the story. However, the magazine is for adults and contains some extreme descriptions. I think it would be safer if they read it under parental supervision and caution.
Also, my previous works have basically the same images, but the content is all very adult-oriented, so it would be safer to wait until they are old enough to choose their own books.”
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Anyway , Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga was released on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
