According to the Night City Wire , which featured news about the game Cyberpunk 2077 , CD Projekt RED announced a new Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime in partnership with Studio Trigger and Netflix .
According to reports, this anime will feature a story independent of the game, but set in the same universe, and its mission is to introduce not only the game world but also the entire genre to those unfamiliar with it.
The chosen studio, Trigger, which is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary, is responsible for titles such as Kill la Kill , Little Witch Academia , Darling in the Franxx , and BNA: Brand New Animal .

Finally, Cyberpunk Edgerunners is scheduled for 2022. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 , Xbox One, and PC on November 19, 2020.
