The fantasy comedy Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru (I'm Dating a Dark Summoner) has had its television premiere confirmed for 2026. The announcement came with a new promotional illustration created by Shaoh, author of the original manga published by Kadokawa since 2021.
Production will be handled by WWWave Corporation through its Deregula. The company is also known for operating the ComicFesta service and the AnimeFesta anime block, responsible for adaptations of works focusing on adult romance and provocative comedy.

The Story of Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru
The story features Roni, a cleric who harbors a deep disdain for demi-humans, and a dark summoner who defies all his prejudices. After an unexpected night of passion, they both pretend nothing happened, although their mutual desire is evident to everyone around them.
The manga Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru blends fantasy, humor, and adult romance in short chapters. Furthermore, the work has gained online attention for exploring the relationship between opposing characters without abandoning its lighthearted tone. Currently, the series has seven collected volumes published by Kadokawa.
Production reinforces commitment to short anime
In recent years, short-form anime have grown within Japanese streaming and late-night television. Ultimately, productions of this style often adapt popular digital works with short episodes and a focus on impactful scenes.
