Following the airing of the final episode of the fourth season of Date A Live, the production of a fifth season for the series was confirmed.
The announcement only included the logo for this new sequel, but it confirms that the current production team will remain, which is quite unusual, since Date A Live is an animated project that has changed studios with each passing season.

Synopsis:
Thirty years ago, a strange phenomenon devastated central Eurasia, taking the lives of over 150 million people. Since then, small earthquakes have been occurring all over the world. Shidou Itsuka, a seemingly normal high school student, meets a girl at the epicenter of a spacequake.
He is informed by his sister Kotori that this girl is one of the spirits who, upon appearing in the world, are the cause of the aforementioned spacequakes. He also discovers that his sister is the captain of the ship Ratatoskr. She recruits him to make use of his mysterious ability to seal the powers of the spirits in order to prevent them from becoming a threat to humanity. However, there is a drawback. To seal a spirit's powers, Shidou must make the spirit fall in love with him.
