Who hasn't stopped to read the acclaimed manga Death Note by author  Tsugumi Ōba? In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the fifth volume of Shueisha Jump Remix announced that the Death Note manga will have a special project; for now, nothing much new is revealed, the page also lists the date as March 3, 2014. In addition, an website for the 10th anniversary of Death Note has also been launched. More news soon.

The manga was first published in December 2003 by Shueisha in the Japanese weekly magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump, running until May 2006 for a total of twelve volumes. It was later adapted into 37 episodes, produced by Madhouse and directed by Tetsurō Araki.

In Brazil, the manga series was published by Editora JBC. The last of the twelve volumes was released in June 2008, and the special "How to Read" was released in August 2008. In Portugal, the manga began to be sold in February 2012 by the publisher Devir. The anime was broadcast in Brazil and Portugal by the local Animax channel and by SIC Radical.10
