The story of Detective Charlotte takes place in the near future where all events are digitally recorded. In this setting, the young detective Charlotte solves complex cases without leaving her chair, working alongside the artificial intelligence WATSON. Together, they investigate mysterious records from a virtual casino, where the winner's name inexplicably disappears from the files.

According to Puri Prince, the anime features a narrative focused on digital records and the observation of events. Furthermore, part of the experience will unfold on social media, placing the audience in the position of observer within this technological universe. The character Charlotte will be voiced by Hina Yomiya.
