The fantasy light novel series Witch and Hound ( Majo to Ryoken ), written by Kamitsuki Rainy , has had its anime adaptation officially announced by Pony Canyon . In addition to the confirmation, the project received a teaser video and a first promotional image.

The story follows Lord Bud Grace, who decides to seek out the legendary Mirror Witch, a character shrouded in terrifying rumors. Alongside him is Rollo, known as "Black Dog," an assassin skilled in various combat methods. Together, they attempt to forge an alliance capable of changing the fate of the country.

Takanori Tsujimoto , known for works such as Resident Evil: Vendetta , will direct . The animation will be produced by TriF Studio . Kamitsuki Rainy will supervise the scripts alongside Jun Tsukida, while Kengo Saito will handle character designs. Yuki Hayashi will compose the series' soundtrack.

The light novel debuted in October 2020, published by Shogakukan, with illustrations by LAM. Currently, the series has six published volumes. However, the manga, drawn by Minori Tsukahara, ended its publication in August 2025.
