Due to the biggest Nerd convention, Comic-Con in San Diego, this past weekend, the official PlayStation exclusively released a trailer for Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns.

According to the official PlayStation Blog, new gameplay details have also been revealed. A new battle system allows players to destroy parts of enemy monsters, disabling their physically demanding attacks. Players will also be able to earn different rewards at the end of each battle. In addition, a new counter-attack system allows players to completely counter their opponents' physical attacks. The blog also revealed a new location, a battle arena called "The Slaughterhouse".
Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns will be released in Japan starting November 21st, followed by the United States next year and then Europe.
