Devil May Cry gets a new trailer featuring music by Evanescence

Netflix released a new trailer for the anime Devil May Cry on its official YouTube . The video features a song by the band Evanescence , called Afterlife .

The production team created the music specifically for the anime's soundtrack, which will premiere worldwide on April 3rd on Netflix. Check out the trailer :

The anime had previously collaborated musically with the band Papa Roach ; see the music trailer below:

Netflix also released the full opening theme song for the anime, which will be "Rollin'" , a big hit by the band Limp Bizkit , in January 2025. Watch the full version:

Studio MIR ( Harley Quinn, The Legend of Korra ) is producing the anime, which will have 8 episodes.

Adi Shankar , the series producer, had previously commented that the Devil May Cry anime will be part of a " Multiverse ," sharing the series' universe with the Castlevania and Castlevania: Nocturne .

The production has already announced the voice cast for the adaptation. The following voice actors will portray the main characters:

  • Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante;
  • Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady;
  • Hoon Lee as Enzo Ferino;
  • Kevin Conroy as VP Baines;
  • Robbie Daymond as Vergil;
  • Tony Todd , character not revealed.

Actor Tony Todd passed away on November 6, 2024, leaving behind recorded lines for three characters in the anime. The team has not revealed the characters' names, but will retain the original voice actors as a tribute.

Synopsis of Devil May Cry:

The game's story takes place in modern times on the fictional island of Mallet and centers on Dante, a demon hunter who uses his business to seek revenge after losing his mother and brother.

The studio Madhouse (responsible for One Punch Man ) had already adapted the game into a 13-episode anime, released in 2007.
