Toei Animation has revealed Dragon Ball Super series will get a new movie in 2022. This was announced on the official website , which celebrates Goku Day on May 9th , a date that marks the Dragon Ball
The new film is scheduled for 2022, and will have a script co-written by Akira Toriyama , creator of the franchise, who spoke about the project: “ We are making a new Dragon Ball Super movie! Just like the previous one, Broly , I am leading the writing process for the plot and dialogue for another incredible film. ”
Previously, it was expected that the new film would focus on Goku, but Toriyama's statement suggests another protagonist: " I'm not going to discuss much of the plot yet, but get ready for extreme and fun twists, which will feature an unusual character.
"Ultimately, the idea is to explore a unique aesthetic to deliver a memorable experience to the audience, so I hope everyone is excited for the new film!", said the creator.
