As of now, no release date has been announced for the series.
Takahiro Omori, who directed the first season, is now directing again, along with studio Shuka. Noboru Takagi is responsible for the scripts, Takahiro Kishida is developing the characters, and Makoto Yoshimori is handling the soundtrack.
The work of Ryohgo Narita, illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, has inspired several adaptations, including the anime series that aired on TV in 2010 on Aniplex, and several games have also been adapted.
The new anime is part of the 10th anniversary of Durarara!! and covers the second arc of the original series by author Ryohgo Narita.
