After its release in Japan, the first Blu-ray and DVD package of the anime Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru ( My Dress-Up Darling ) has already sold 10,130 copies . This first package has two episodes and the cover, although it does not feature Marin Kitagawa wearing any 'cosplay'.

The package was released on March 23 in Japan and includes the first and second episodes of the anime, with some extended scenes and audio commentary from the voice cast.
The Blu-ray version costs 7,700 yen (about US$63) and has sold 8,931 copies , while the DVD version costs 6,600 yen (about US$54) and has sold 1,199 copies . Therefore, the limited Blu-ray version was also released, but the count does not distinguish how many of this edition were sold.
Synopsis:
Wakana Gojo is an insecure hina doll craftsman, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, a long-time skilled hina doll artist. While Gojou loves his hobby passionately, he socially isolates himself at school as he believes he will be ridiculed for what he does. Having not made a single friend during his school years, his grandfather worries about him.
One day in the classroom, a girl hits her head on Gojou's desk. She apologizes to him, before reuniting with her friends. Gojou identifies her as Marin Kitagawa, an incredibly cheerful, as well as friendly and popular girl in her class, noting that “she lives in a completely different world than him.” But her paths come together, and as Marin is extremely friendly, she started talking to him more often.
The anime premiered in January this year and had a total of 12 episodes produced by the Cloverwoks . The series became a public phenomenon with each episode released.
The manga My Dress-Up Darling was published in Young Gangan in January 2018
Finally, we still don't have confirmation for a second season of Sono Bisque Doll .
