Ghost Cat Anzu, a film featuring a ghost cat, gets a new trailer

The production company TOHO Animation has released a new trailer for the film Ghost Cat Anzu , which tells the story of a girl's life accompanied by a ghost cat.

Therefore, the animated film is set to premiere on July 19th in major Japanese cinemas. The animation is by Shin-Ei Animation ( Doraemon ) × Miyu Productions. In the video, we can hear the theme song “Matatabi” sung by Chiaki Sato.

Synopsis of Ghost Cat Anzu:

The story revolves around Karin, an 11-year-old girl left by her father in the care of her grandfather, a respected monk, in a quiet town in rural Japan. But amidst the loneliness, her grandfather has an unusual idea: he introduces her to Anzu, a ghost cat, to be her constant companion.

Finally, CHARADES, a renowned French company, is in charge of international sales for this exciting project. Under the talented direction of the duo Yoko Kuno and Nobuhiro Yamashita, and with a carefully crafted screenplay by Shinji Imaoka.

Furthermore, the film is expected to have a runtime of 90 minutes and will explore innovative mixed animation techniques, combining the charm of 2D digital animation with the precision of rotoscoping.
