Fans of school stories with a touch of comedy can rejoice. The manga Gokigenyō Ikkyoku Ikaga? ( Good Day to You, How About a Game? ), by Tsukasa Unohana , has been officially announced as a new anime. The news debuted on the Comic Fuz website , from the publisher Houbunsha , along with a commemorative illustration created by the author.

The adaptation brings together a team known for their work in the slice-of-life genre. Kaori, director of Stardust Telepath, takes on the direction at Felix Film. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, responsible for the composition of series such as Is the Order a Rabbit?,writes the series composition, while Mai Otsuka, of The Demon Girl Next Door, handles the character design.

A friendship built on mahjong
The story follows Sae, a student who struggles to fit into a prestigious, elite girls' school. However, everything changes when Chise, a classmate admired by everyone, discovers Sae playing mahjong on her phone. From this encounter, the two develop a friendship centered around the popular strategy game.

Tsukasa Unohana began publishing Gokigenyō, Ikkyoku Ikaga? in Manga Time Kirara Carat in June 2022. The fifth compiled volume of the manga has now been released in Japanese bookstores. As of now, the production has not revealed a release date for the anime.
