The development of GTA 6 may be facing a new phase of narrative restructuring, especially in its final chapter. According to a recent rumor released by a leaker known as GameRoll, the campaign's ending is undergoing significant changes after an unexpected cut.

The information comes from a source close to one of the developers at Rockstar Games, according to the leaker himself, who had already correctly predicted important details about the protagonists before the official trailers. The news reignites speculation about the behind-the-scenes aspects of the project, especially after the announcement of the release delay to May 26, 2026. The rumor, although without official confirmation, suggests that the reworking of the final chapter may have directly influenced the studio's new schedule.

The final chapter of GTA 6 is reportedly being remade due to cuts

According to information released by GameRoll on the X network (formerly Twitter), GTA 6 will be structured in five main chapters. However, the fifth chapter has suffered significant cuts that required the team to completely rewrite that part of the story. The game's second trailer, already available to the public, shows scenes only from the first three chapters, while the final stages are still under internal development.

GameRoll claims that its source is not directly involved in the project, but maintains a friendship with a member of the Rockstar production team. Despite the lack of concrete evidence, the leaker emphasizes that this same person was responsible for revealing the surnames of the protagonists Jason and Lucia, revelations that were later confirmed in the official material.

Changes to the script may be behind the postponement to 2026

The potential rework of the final part of the narrative may help explain the recent delay of GTA 6. In May, Rockstar officially announced that the game will only arrive on May 26, 2026, delaying the initially planned release by more than a year. Although the studio has not offered detailed justifications, rumors like this suggest that the content is still being adjusted to reach the expected quality standard.

Script changes at such an advanced stage of development are not common, but they are not unprecedented in the industry either. In titles with complex campaigns and a strong narrative focus, changes to the ending can directly affect the pacing, internal coherence, and player experience. Thus, Rockstar may be reassessing the impact of the story's conclusion to ensure a satisfying ending.

The trailer only showed a portion of the finished content

An interesting observation made by GameRoll is that the second GTA 6 trailer, recently released, only shows images from the first three chapters. This reinforces the idea that the final content is not yet ready or is being reworked. The absence of scenes from chapters four and five in the official video may have been a strategic decision to avoid showing elements in the process of being reworked.

Based on this, fans speculate that the final parts of the game are still subject to change. This could include adjustments to the script, gameplay, and even the setting, should the story require geographical transitions or structural changes between chapters.
