The latest issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Big Comic Spirits revealed that manga Hana to Okutan will enter its final arc in the magazine's next issue on June 3rd.

The manga is set in the aftermath of a giant flower that appears in Tokyo, altering most of the city's functions and leaving it abandoned. In the ruined city, a woman spends her daily life struggling to survive while waiting for her husband's return.

Takahashi launched the manga in Big Comic Spirits in 2007 as an irregular serialization. The manga began weekly publication last November. Shogakukan published the manga's second compiled volume in 2013.

Takahashi recently finished his manga Kanata Kakeru last September, and also revealed at the same time that he will launch a new work about the university ekiden race in 2019. He recently launched another manga titled Kami o Kiri ni Kimashita (I've Come to Cut Your Hair) in Hakusensha's Melody magazine on April 27.

Among Takahashi's other works are Iihito, Saishū Heiki Kanojo Another World, Yuki ni Tsubasa and Hatsukoi Honya.
