The anime Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life (Hanaori-san wa Tensei Shite mo Kenka ga Shitai) received its second promotional video this Wednesday (24). In addition to presenting new scenes from the adaptation, the trailer revealed the opening and ending songs of the series, expanding on the details about the production before the premiere.

The opening theme song will be “High Maintenance Girl,” performed by Masayoshi Oishi, while the ending theme will be “Very Good Encounter,” sung by Maaya Uchida. The voice actress has also been confirmed in the cast as the character Meru Tsumugina, one of the new additions shown in the video.
An unexpected reunion
The story follows Ryusei Narukami, a reclusive young man who leads an ordinary life after reincarnating in the modern world. However, he hides an unusual past: in his previous life, he was a powerful Demon King defeated by a legendary heroine. The problem arises when this same heroine also reincarnates and reappears before him as a high school student.
The manga features romantic comedy, fantasy, and everyday situations, exploring the rivalry between two former enemies who now have to coexist in the same reality.
Production and cast
The adaptation is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at LIDEN FILMS. However, the series' script is the responsibility of Yukie Sugawara, while Yousuke Okuda is in charge of character design. The soundtrack features compositions by Yukari Hashimoto and R・O・N.
The main cast includes Jun Fukuyama as Ryusei Narukami and Akira Sekine as Meteor Hanaori. The voice cast also includes names like Rie Takahashi, Yoko Hikasa, Ayasa Ito, Sora Tokui , and Hitomi Ueda.
Created by Hekiru Hikawa, author of Pani Poni, the manga began its publication in Morning Two in 2021 and already has nine volumes released in Japan.
