Nobody expected this, according to Oricon: the Hunter x Hunter manga (Yoshihiro Togashi) is returning this month in Japan. The news coincides with its release in the pages of the 43rd issue of Shounen Jump on September 22nd.
The Hunter x Hunter saga has been on hiatus since [date/time]. Amidst several breaks, the series has been paused since.. January April of this year, with Yoshihiro Togashi being the main culprit for the hiatuses, he stated in an interview, "I'll finish the story or I'll die first“.

The manga series written and illustrated by Togashi. The chapters have been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since March 3, 1998, where they are compiled and published in tankōbon format by Shueisha, although the manga has frequently gone on hiatus since 2006. The story follows Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy who desperately wants to find his father, so he decides to become a "Hunter," just like him, and somehow find his whereabouts.
As the story progresses, Gon befriends three other aspiring Hunters: Leorio, Kurapika, and Killua, who accompany him on his adventures. In Brazil, the manga has been licensed and published by JBC since 2008.
