This year, the 41st issue of Shonen Jump magazine Shueisha announced on Monday that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter × Hunter manga will continue its hiatu due to the author's “back pain”.
The manga will not be featured in the next issue on September 13, and a return date for the series has not yet been decided. Once chosen, the date will appear on the back cover of the most recent edition of the magazine.
The team also notes that, in order to restart the manga as soon as possible, Togashi's treatment has been accelerated.
The manga inspired two versions of the anime; the most recent has been running since 2011, but that will end with episode 148 on September 23rd. The manga also inspired two films and several OVAs (Original Video Animations).
