This year, issue 41 of Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that Yoshihiro Togashi's manga, Hunter × Hunter, will continue its hiatus due to the author's "back pain.".
The manga will not be featured in the next issue on September 13th, and the return date for the series has not yet been decided. Once chosen, the date will be on the back cover of the latest issue of the magazine.
The team also notes that, in order to restart the manga as soon as possible, Togashi's treatment is being accelerated.
The manga inspired two anime adaptations; the most recent has been airing since 2011, but that will end with episode 148 on September 23rd. The manga also inspired two films and several OVAs (Original Video Animations).
