During the Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary celebration event, the second promotional video and artwork were revealed, along with another voice actor, the main production team, and the January 2024 premiere date for the anime “Ishura,” a light novel created by writer Keiso and illustrated by artist Kureta.

Kōichi Yamadera joins the cast as Shalk the Sound Cutter:

Takeo Takahashi (Hinako Note, The Island of Giant Insects) is the chief director, while Yuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive, Mieruko-chan) is directing the anime at Passione. Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan, Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-) is supervising and writing the series scripts, and finally, the SANZIGEN studio is responsible for the CG animation.
According to reports, the series is exclusively available on Disney+ worldwide. Further details will be revealed soon.
Synopsis
The story takes place after the death of the Demon King, a series of demigods capable of overthrowing him have inherited the world: a master swordsman who can figure out how to defeat his opponent with a single glance; a lancer so fast he can break the sound barrier; a wyvern rogue who fights with three legendary weapons at once; an all-powerful mage who can transform thoughts into reality; and an angelic assassin who deals with instant death. Eager to earn the title of “A True Hero,” each of these champions faces challenges against formidable enemies and unleashes conflicts. However, the battle to determine the mightiest of the mighty begins.
Therefore, the Ishura light novel debuted in Shōsetsuka ni Narō e Kakuyomu in September 2019, with its 7th volume published in February of this year.
Finally, the manga adaptation by Meguri began in March 2021.
