adaptation anime of Iwamoto Senpai no Suisen had new details revealed during AnimeJapan 2026. The event confirmed a new promotional video, a new visual, and more cast members. The series is scheduled to premiere in July of this year.
In addition, the main cast includes Taito Ban as Kodō Iwamoto, Yuki Sakakihara as Kai Haramachi, and Kent Itō as Sōichirō Amaha. The production is handled by Studio DEEN, with Toshifumi Kawase directing.
The series' script is supervised by Keiichirō Ōchi, known for works such as The Quintessential Quintuplets and Girlfriend, Girlfriend. Character design is by Atsuko Nakajima, while the soundtrack features Yoshiaki Dewa and Tōru Ishitsuka.

Synopsis
The story takes place in the 1910s and follows Kodō Iwamoto, a student at a military-controlled school. The school researches supernatural phenomena for military purposes. The protagonist travels the country investigating mysterious cases. During one of these missions, he encounters a young man who believes his powers are an illness. Iwamoto teaches him how to control this ability and offers him a recommendation to enroll in the school, initiating new encounters with inexplicable events.
The original work is a action manga written by Hiroshi Shiibashi, published in Ultra Jump magazine since 2021. The author is also known for Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, which had an anime adaptation spanning two seasons.
