According to the source, the contract in question requires all Jujutsu Kaisen animators to maintain secrecy about production. However, it seems that a good part of the team did not like the agreement and took their complaints to the internet.
“I have nothing to lose, so if you want to take me to court for complaining, I’ll take it.”
“Silencing staff from talking about how terrible the working conditions are is ironic, I don't care at this point because yes, the schedule is beyond terrible, the fact that the work is done with any level of competence is incredible. I'm not going to compromise my health for a job that doesn't cover my rent, much less any other expenses. My main job and my overall well-being mean more to me than the fear of being blacklisted.”
Furthermore, they also claim that the studio's working environment is chaotic, the pay is not fair and the working hours are too hard. Despite the situation, MAPPA did not release any response to this chaos.
