Jujutsu Kaisen creator is worried about MAPPA's work

MAPPA studio has created a very strong brand in recent years after being responsible for producing several popular animes. However, the studio was left with a very heavy workload that even Gege Akutami , the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen , worried.

Currently MAPPA has made anime adaptations for Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Hell's Paradise and Jujutsu Kaisen. The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen premieres in July and its latest trailer featured top-notch animation, which left Gege Akutami impressed. The mangaka comments that he loved the trailer for his anime, but is worried about MAPPA's work due to the studio's intense and restless pace.

 “All the animation cuts for the second trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen season two were very good. I’m worried about the [animation] studio.”

Synopsis:

The story therefore follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight against curses, evil beings that haunt the world of the living. So, to protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and teams up with other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by studio MAPPA.
