MAPPA has currently adapted the anime series Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Hell's Paradise, and Jujutsu Kaisen. Jujutsu Kaisen's second season premieres in July, and its latest trailer features top-notch animation that impressed Gege Akutami. The manga artist comments that he loved the trailer for his anime, but is concerned about MAPPA's work due to the studio's intense and relentless pace.

"All the animation cuts for the second trailer of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 were very good. I'm worried about the [animation] studio."

Synopsis:

The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved with a secret society of sorcerers called Jujutsu Kaisen, who fight curses—evil beings that haunt the living world. To protect his friends and family, Yuji decides to become a sorcerer and joins forces with other members of Jujutsu Kaisen, including his mentor, the powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2020 and had 24 episodes animated by the studio MAPPA.
